Volcanic ash

Redirected from Ash (volcanic)

Volcanic ash is low-density solidified rocky material ejected from a volcanic vent into the air.

Volcanic ash looks similar to the ash resulting from the combustion of wood, but it is not a product of combustion. When the volcanic ash rains down to the ground, it forms a layer of tuff.
