Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen (February 11, 1902 - 1971) was a Danish architect and designer.

Among his architectural achievements are St. Catherine's & Merton Colleges, Oxford. In his own country he designed the Danish National Bank, Copenhagen, as well as a number of town halls and other buildings. Jacobsen has created a number of highly original chairs and other furniture. He has received several international distinctions and medals.
