Arbeit macht frei (meaning "work is liberty," or more loosely, "work makes you free") is the slogan currently found at the sites of several former Naziconcentration camps. The slogan can now be seen at the entrances of these camps, including those at Auschwitz I, Dachau, Gross-Rosen[?], Sachsenhausen, and the Terezin[?] Ghetto-Camp. These slogans were in place at the entrances of these camps when they were taken by the Allies at the end of World War II.
