Apache Software Foundation

The Apache Software Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation to support Apache software projects, including the Apache webserver.

The Apache Software Foundation provides support for the Apache community of open-source software projects. The Apache projects are characterized by a collaborative, consensus based development process, an open and pragmatic software license. The Apache project is the origin of the Apache-style license.

Apache maintains the following "Projects":

  1. HTTP Server - Apache server
  2. APR
  3. Jakarta Project
  4. Perl
  5. PHP
  6. TCL
  7. XML
