Anton LaVey

LaVey, Anton Szandor: b. 11th April 1930, d. 31st October 1997; Founder and High Priest of the Church of Satan.

Anton LaVey was born in Chicago, but spent most of his life in San Francisco, California.

He had a lifelong love of philosophy, the occult, and the dark side of human nature. On the 30th of April 1966 he founded the Church of Satan.

An eclectic individual, he was fond of music, painting, antique automobiles, firearms, and animals (particularly the big cats). He was succeded by his mate, Blanche Barton, son Xerxes, and daughters Karla and Zeena.
