Anti-Revolutionaire Partij

The Anti-Revolutionare Partij (ARP, "Anti-revolutionary Party") was a political party in the Netherlands from 1879 until 1980.

The christian democratic[?] and Protestant ARP was founded in 1879 by Abraham Kuyper[?], and as such was the first national political party in the Netherlands.

In 1974, the ARP formed a federation with two other christian democratic parties, the Reformed CHU[?] and the Catholic KVP[?]. In 1980, the three parties merged and formed the CDA.
