Anishinabe

The indigenous name of the people known as Ojibwe.

"The Anishinabe are the third largest Indian tribe in North America, surpassed only to the Cherokee and Navajo. They were primarily located around the Great Lakes region, mostly in the Lake Superior area. They are known for their canoes and wild rice, and for the fact that they were the only Indian nation to defeat the Sioux." [1] (http://emuseum.mnsu.edu/history/mncultures/anishinabe)
