The racial makeup of the city is 75.65% White, 2.04% African American, 0.90% Native American, 0.71% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 17.72% from other races, and 2.94% from two or more races. 41.95% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 3,478 households out of which 40.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% are married couples living together, 10.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.3% are non-families. 23.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
