Anderson is a city located in Denali Borough, Alaska. As of the 2000 census, the population of the city is 367.

Geography Anderson is located at 64°20'43" North, 149°11'43" West (64.345372, -149.195352)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 122.4 km² (47.3 mi²). 121.0 km² (46.7 mi²) of it is land and 1.4 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.14% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 367 people, 101 households, and 74 families residing in the city. The population density is 3.0/km² (7.9/mi²). There are 148 housing units at an average density of 1.2/km² (3.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 86.38% White, 4.36% African American, 1.36% Native American, 0.27% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.82% from other races, and 6.81% from two or more races. 5.18% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 101 households out of which 40.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% are married couples living together, 10.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.7% are non-families. 20.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.60 and the average family size is 3.05.

In the city the population is spread out with 21.0% under the age of 18, 12.0% from 18 to 24, 42.0% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 2.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 33 years. For every 100 females there are 175.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 187.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $58,750, and the median income for a family is $62,188. Males have a median income of $31,641 versus $23,750 for females. The per capita income for the city is $23,837. 17.6% of the population and 15.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 25.8% are under the age of 18 and 10.0% are 65 or older.

Clear Air Force Station

6 miles to the south of the village is Clear Air Force Station, home of the 13th Space Warning Squadron (13SWS).
