Amherst Junction is a village located in Portage County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 305.

Geography Amherst Junction is located at 44°28'10" North, 89°19'1" West (44.469523, -89.316827)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.1 km² (1.2 mi²). 3.1 km² (1.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.65% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 305 people, 109 households, and 75 families residing in the village. The population density is 99.0/km² (256.2/mi²). There are 111 housing units at an average density of 36.0/km² (93.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 109 households out of which 39.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% are married couples living together, 7.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.3% are non-families. 19.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.80 and the average family size is 3.28.
