American legless lizard

The family Anniellidae of American legless lizards contains two species in a single genus Anniella; A. pulchra, the California legless lizard[?], with two subspecies A. p. pulchra and A. p. nigra, and the rare A. geronimensis, the Baja legless lizard[?].
