Almelo (population: 70,416) is a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Overijssel. The municipality covers an area of 69.40 km².

The municipality of Almelo also includes the following towns, villages and townships: Aadorp[?], Bornerbroek[?], Mariaparochie[?].
