Alice Acres is a town located in Jim Wells County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 491.

Geography Alice Acres is located at 27°43'25" North, 98°6'53" West (27.723599, -98.114641)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 15.3 km² (5.9 mi²). 15.3 km² (5.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 491 people, 133 households, and 119 families residing in the town. The population density is 32.1/km² (83.2/mi²). There are 141 housing units at an average density of 9.2/km² (23.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 76.58% White, 0.00% African American, 0.41% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 21.59% from other races, and 1.43% from two or more races. 94.91% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 133 households out of which 62.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.4% are married couples living together, 11.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 10.5% are non-families. 9.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.69 and the average family size is 3.93.

In the town the population is spread out with 39.5% under the age of 18, 10.6% from 18 to 24, 32.6% from 25 to 44, 13.4% from 45 to 64, and 3.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 25 years. For every 100 females there are 111.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 104.8 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $17,336, and the median income for a family is $17,204. Males have a median income of $17,361 versus $0 for females. The per capita income for the town is $8,579. 27.3% of the population and 26.8% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 36.1% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
