Aleksander Kwasniewski

Aleksander Kwasniewski (b. November 15 1954, Bialogard, Poland) is a Polish politician and currently the President of Poland. He succeded Lech Walesa as President after winning the 1995 elections. Kwasniewski was elected for his second and final term as president in 2000.

He is also a former leader of the left-wing Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej.
