Akiko Yano

Akiko Yano (矢野 顕子) is a Japanese pop and jazz musician. She was born Akiko Suzuki in 1955. She married and soon after divorced Makoto Yano, a producer of her first recording. She later married Sakamoto, one of the members of Yellow Magic Orchestra.

In addition to her solo work, she has recorded with Thomas Dolby, Yngwie Malmsteen, The Chieftains[?], The Hammonds[?], Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Kazumi Watanabe, The Boom[?], Tetsuro Kashibuchi[?] and Ryuichi Sakamoto. She appeared on the recording "Snowflake" reading a children's story with Peter Gabriel and music by Akira Inoue[?].

Members of Little Feat[?], Pat Metheny[?], Ryuichi Sakamoto, Harumi Hosono[?], David Sylvian[?], Lyle Mays[?], Kenji Omura[?], Jeff Bova[?], Yukihiro Takahashi[?] and and her son Futa Sakamoto[?] have performed on her albums.
