Ahinoam

Ahinoam (brother of pleasantness = pleasant) are two Biblical figures.

  • One is the daughter of Ahimaaz, and wife of Saul (1 Sam. 14:50).
  • Another is the Jezreelitess, the first wife of David (1 Sam. 25:43;
27:3). She was the mother of Amnon (2 Sam. 3:2). (See 1 Sam. 30:5, 18; 2 Sam. 2:2.)
