Affective computing

Affective computing is computing which involves emotion.

In the simple case: affective computing is a computational device recognizing and acting upon the emotions of its user.

In the complex case: affective computing is a computational device having (or simulating having) emotions of its own.

Affective computing derives its name from the word affect.
