Adidas

Adidas is a German sports apparel corporation. The company is named after it's founder, Adolf 'Adi' Dassler, who started producing shoes in the 1920s in a village near Nuremberg.

Rudolf Dassler, Adi's brother, founded a rival company, Puma, in 1948.

The chief competitor of Adidas is Nike Inc..
