Adamari Lopez

Las Piedras, Puerto Rico born Adamari Lopez(1973- ) started her acting career alongside legendary Puerto Rican actress Gladys Rodriguez and Venezuelan singer Jose Luis Rodriguez, El Puma, at the age of 6 in the Telemundo Canal 2[?] production of the Cristina Bazan soap opera.

Her good acting in that show exposed her as a future superstar, and WAPA-TV next chose her to play Iris Chacon and Daniel Guerrero[?]'s daughter in Yo Se Que Mentia. She was 9 then, and was given one of the most important roles of the story. Lopez became a household name.

A short, 2 episode appearance on Vivir Para Ti[?] followed in 1983, and after that, Lopez decided to dedicate herself to her studies. After reaching the age of majority, she came back, participating in several plays at Puerto Rico's Teatro Tapia[?] (which is considered to be Puerto Rico's Broadway), and getting the attention of Mexican producers.

She travelled to Mexico next, after the invitation by the producers to try out there, and became a superstar in that country as well, working in many top soap operas, including the national super hit Amigas Y Rivales[?].

Her private life has become a favorite subject of paparazzi[?] and gossip magazines, and her breakup from actor Mauricio Islas[?] was well published.

Lopez recently participated in Mujer, Casos De La Vida Real[?].

Lopez is rumored to have been dating singing super star Luis Fonsi[?] as of lately, and is currently involved in a mini scandal in Puerto Rico, where a camera man filmed her while she was leaving a swimming pool, which supposedly caused Fonsi's brother to allegedly beat the photographer up. Because of this, there is a claim in court against the Fonsi brothers.

Lopez loves signing autographs for her fans and is always accesible.
