Ackworth is a city located in Warren County, Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 85.

Geography Ackworth is located at 41°21'54" North, 93°28'24" West (41.365115, -93.473235)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 85 people, 31 households, and 27 families residing in the city. The population density is 109.4/km² (284.8/mi²). There are 32 housing units at an average density of 41.2/km² (107.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 98.82% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.18% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 1.18% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 31 households out of which 41.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.2% are married couples living together, 16.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 9.7% are non-families. 9.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.74 and the average family size is 2.89.

In the city the population is spread out with 23.5% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 32.9% from 25 to 44, 24.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.2 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $32,500, and the median income for a family is $38,438. Males have a median income of $30,625 versus $26,875 for females. The per capita income for the city is $17,478. 6.5% of the population and 10.3% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 13.3% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
