Aberdaron is a beautiful little fishing village right at the end of Wales' Northern peninsula (the Lleyn[?]). Beyond it lies Bardsea[?], in legend the island of 10000 saints - now a favourite bird-watching place. R S Thomas was vicar of the church which stands right next to the shore. At times the congregation couldn't hear the service for the sound of the wind and waves.
