Abbé Faria

Abbé Faria is one of the characters from famous Alexandre Dumas' novel, "The Count of Monte Cristo".

He was a prisoner of Le Château d'If, who taught the main character, Edmond Dantés[?], maths, science and foreign languages, and helped him to escape from prison. He told him a story about the jewels on Monte Cristo[?], a small island near the Italian coast. Abbé Faria was a real person, and he really was a prisoner in Château d'If.
