8VSB

8VSB is the vestigial sideband modulation method adopted for digital television and radio broadcasting in the USA. 8VSB has already been adopted in the United States for use in HDTV broadcasting.

There has been a continuing lobby for changing the decision to fall in line with the Eureka 147 digital broadcasting system, but the FCC has continued to assert that 8VSB is the better system for use in the USA for digital audio.
