5th Interceptor Command

The 5th Interceptor Command was part of the Far East Air Force, during the World War II era. The commander was Brigadier General H.B. Clagett[?], based at Nielson Field.

5th Interceptor Command -- December 8, 1941

At the time of the 1941 Japanese invasion, of the Philippines, the commander and part of the 35th Pursuit Group[?] was at sea, enroute to the Philippines. The 21st[?] and 34th Squadrons[?], of the 35th PG, were attached to the 24th Pursuit Group[?].
