400 Degreez is a
hip hop album by
New Orleans-based
rapper Juvenile, released on
June 9,
1998 (see
1998 in music). The album received often raving reviews and broke Juvenile among mainstream hip hop listeners. At the time,
Cash Money[?] (
Master P's
record label) had been released a steady stream of albums generally perceived as mediocre efforts at manufacturing
one-hit wonders. Juvenile, along with
Mystikal, changed the label's image among hip hop communities, though Master P and the majority of his roster of acts are still generally maligned by music critics.
Two singles, "Ha" and "Back That Azz Up" became hits in the United States. The album was a #2 hit on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums and #9 on the Billboard 200.
